I'll start with the obvious, Sandwich [1] by xkcd [2]:

Yes, this question is a copy of What’s your favorite “programmer” cartoon? [3] but where's the harm in a Super User equivalent of such a popular question?

(1) Well, that was fast. It's approximately 3 hours since the site has launched. :P - MrValdez
Well technically it's not launched yet :) - tjrobinson
(3) Better to get it over and done with early. - ChrisF
Super Users are soooo predictable. - Saul Dolgin

Just added today but I think this will be a classic XKCD:

They could say "the connection is probably lost," but it&squot;s more fun to do naive time-averaging to give you hope that if you wait around for 1,163 hours, it will finally finish

Title Text: They could say "the connection is probably lost," but it's more fun to do naive time-averaging to give you hope that if you wait around for 1,163 hours, it will finally finish.

hahaha, i was going to say i dont remember reading that one - Petey B
(1) I saw this one today, and it was TOO funny! Perfect analogy! - geoffc
What's the alt text? - mmyers
(3) <nerd>You mean title text, not alt text.</nerd> - DisgruntledGoat
For some reason, I've seen it called alt text specifically when it's on an xkcd cartoon. I'm not sure why. - mmyers
changed...........;) - Damien
Alt text is the old term from ye olde browser wars. Modern HTML calls it title text. - MiffTheFox

I know we have quite an XKCD inflation here, but I have to post this one, since it's my definte all-time second-to-none never-gonna-find-a-better-one favorite:

It's simply so true.

I'm An Idiot

It's a good one, but more about programming than being a super user - tjrobinson
I agree. I changed it! - Oscar Reyes
This is so true to life ;) (though in this case finally giving up and driving to a nearby WiFi spot for IMing solved the problem (there was no doorbell, and this was before mobile broadband became common)) - Oskar Duveborn

Thanks, you do me honer in this world of no rep. HA - Ioxp
(4) I actually did that in school instead of writing. I told the teacher I needed the practice for typing class. I told her I would number each line so she would know I didn't just type one page and copy it. - Larry
(1) I wish I could give Bill Amend +1 for functioning code. - John Rudy
(3) Not really working as intended - it'll print everything on one line. Should've used puts instead of printf, or included \n last in the string! - gustafc
(3) @gustafc: Maybe that's why the teacher won't accept it. "Nice try, but there a bug!" :) - Ilari Kajaste

Another xkcd (I know, what a cliché!)

Title text: "When I look into your eyes, I see JPEG artifacts. I can tell by the pixels that we're wrong for each other."

What's the alt text? - mmyers
The alt text is "Photoshops". I think you meant title text :p - DisgruntledGoat
I'm on IE here, so alt == title for me. (But as I said in another comment, I've seen it called alt text specifically when it's on an xkcd cartoon. I don't know why.) - mmyers

(1) It's a coordinate plane, where any point has a "cloudy" value and a "softwarey" value. I think the joke is that while the opposite of a cloud computing-based solution is a desktop-based solution, the opposite of a software-based solution is one that actually does stuff for you.... (if it's supposed to be funny. If not, I suppose it means daemons and the like) - Babu
